Exceptional 6 day trail

along the little known region

of COLLSACABRA


An obligatory route for generations

of travellers, this is also a section of

the pilgrim's Way to Compostela.


Situated inland, away from mass tourism, the region offers vibrant landscapes, historical heritage and

a quiet pastoral atmosphere.


There are sweeping views over the volcanic zone from peak Puigsacalm (alt. 1540m) and an outstanding detour

to a 300 year old paved track.


The listed village of Rupit is renowned

for the beauty of its setting and its well preserved stone-built architecture dating back to the 18th century.

ROUTE of the CATHAR CASTLES

From FOIX (Pyrenees) to TUCHAN (Corbieres)

You follow the traces of the Cathars

chased by troups of the King of France

during the 14th century. Some of them took refuge in iconic castles perched

on hills difficult to access.


This trail offers an outstanding scenery:

the Pyrenees mountain range,

the limestone hills of Corbieres,

narrow valleys, open pastures and

the quiet atmosphere of old villages.
